Mouth Breather

I'm in Biggby right now, as always, and there's this "heavyset" man sitting across from me breathing really heavily through his mouth. I hope he doesn't have a heart attack cuz he's breathing like someone is sitting on his chest. This makes me sad.

Now he's talking and I think it's in another language, like Russian . . . or some Slavic language. But my hearing is bad, so he could just be speaking English.

Also, Mocha Chills are delicious.

S Club, I Really Miss You

The recent Spice Girls Reunion Tour has stirred up some emotion in me over another Prefab British pop group, this one consisting of seven (now 6) young individuals with great voices and the moves to back them up.

What wonderous group am I referring to? Well, S Club of course. Oh how I long for another album put forth by Jon, Hannah, Bradley, Rachel, Tina, Jo, and (before he left) Paul. I doubt they'll ever do a reunion tour like their big sister band, the Spice Girls, but if they did I'd definitely think about going to it and then settle on just purchasing the album.

Oh, and a word about the picture. Why the hell is Hannah stuck in a hoodie while the others are wearing shirts and tank tops? It's weird, Hannah. Go change!

Sex Time

Yesterday two of my friends were wed and all I could think about through the whole ceremony and reception was "those two are going to have sex tonight. . . and everyone in this room knows it." And it's not that I don't think they've had sex before, but now that they're married there isn't even room for a shadow of a doubt that they're effing the ess out of each other. It's weird. I mean, how do heteros even have sex with only one penis? It's like a jigsaw puzzle that's missing a piece, so frustrating.

Also, I just got back from lunch with my awesomely dear friend Beth and our waitress kept refering to the Monte Cristo as a Monte Crisco. I found that to be amusing.

Go With The Floater

For the past week I've had a dark spot floating casually around my left eye. It's a tad annoying. I'll be writing notes down in class and all of the sudden Mr. Floater saunters into my field of vision and won't leave. I'll look to the right, to the left, up, down, but no matter what Mr. Floater will casually come along.

Here's what it's like to have a floater in your eye. Exhibit A is a picture of an Old English Sheep Dog, before the floater came to be, this is what I would have seen. Exhibit B is also a picture of an Old English Sheep Dog, but this picture shows what one would see if one had a floater in one's eye. Annoying.

After a week and a half of this I've finally got annoyed to the point of calling my optometrist so as to get my eye checked out. I'm pretty sure it's nothing major and that they'll tell me that it will go away with time, but who knows. I'll keep everyone up-to-date.

Hammer Time

I found the funniest thing the other day. A picture of it is to the right, it's a Simplicity brand sewing pattern so that you too can have a pair of MC Hammer pants. Who in their right mind would want a pair of these? And what the hell was going on in the 90's that made this fashion statement cool?

The answer to the first question is "an impressionable seven year old." I know this because I was fortunate to have a mother that would make her child a pair of "Hammer pants," as i called them, and doofy enough to love the hell out of them. I wore my "Hammer pants" so much that they became too thin to wear and my mom was "forced" to throw them out. God I was one strange child.

I'm such a preteen girl. I can't even remember how long I spent listening to Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus this morning. Granted, it was just one song over and over and over again, but I think that may actually make it worse. If you're wondering the name of the song, it's "Start All Over" and it's amazingly fun. Ain't Put Nothin' Down

Right now there's this Gay Blog awards/challenge/elimination thing going on and though I'm not in the competition I am finding the topics (or challenges as they say) to be quite interesting, so until the competition is over I'm going to be using their topics as my topics. Unless their topic is stupid, then I'll ignore it. If you feel like reading the contestants' blogs the website is www.gaybloggies.com.

Challenge 1:
Confess Something You've Never Written On Your Blog.

One thing I tend to not write about on my "blog" or discuss anywhere other than my inner monologue is anything that pertains to my sex life. I don't do this for a few reasons, and here they are. . .

1) I really don't think anyone wants to know about that aspect of my life.
2) I really don't want anyone to know about that aspect of my life.
3) I find sex to be somewhat embarrasing.
4) I also find it to be somewhat gross.
5) It occurs so infrequently that it may as well be ignored.
6) I'm a prude.

I do write about the crushes I have, though. So, that's sort of almost like talking about my sex life. Now I'm just making excuses for myself, and I honestly don't need to be. It's my blog after all, so quit judging me and piss off!

I was just listening to the oh so wonderful radio show "This American Life" and on it was a woman who recounts a story of being in her twenties, at a party, discussing endangered species with some friends. That in itself isn't so strange. But about halfway throught this discussion the woman poses the following question

"Is the unicorn endangered or extinct?"

To which her friends bust out laughing, cuz c'mon that's hilarious. But then the laughing stops when they realize that she is being serious and really wants to know if the unicorn is endangered or extinct. Now when you really think about it it's not so shocking that someone could go through their whole life thinking that unicorns are real. They really are just, as she says, "a horse with a horn" and considering that dinosaurs existed. . .why not a unicorn?

Who Wants To Live Forever

Is it odd that lately I find myself thinking of what I want done when I die. Things like memorial services and cremation and organ donation? Yeah, it's morbid, but I'm pretty sure that everyone does it.

Oh and FUTURE PEOPLE WHO MAY BE READING THIS I never want to reach the point where I can no longer take care of myself. Just something I thought you future people should know.

Finally saw "Across the Universe" it definitely lived up to my expectations.

Fantastic visuals, the scene showing Max's drafting process and Mr. Kite's circus are the big two that come to mind. The cast is made up of great actors who also happen to be very good singers. It also introduced to a few Beatles songs that i never knew about and now love.

All in all, another great directing job done by Ms. Julie Taymor.

Dumbledore is gay. That makes me laugh. It's like a final "fuck you" to the religious right. If as though Rowling was saying "Haha fuckers, not only do your kids love to read stories about magic, but the main character and role model for the children of Hogwarts is a homo. Haha!" Screwing over the religious crazies makes me so happy.
